2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione

Introduced in 2017, the Ferrari 812 Superfast succeeded the F12 Berlinetta as Maranello’s flagship, front-engine V-12 grand tourer. Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 producing 789 hp, the 812 represented the most powerful series-production Ferrari to date and embodied the company’s continued commitment to the traditional 12-cylinder engine in an era increasingly dominated by turbocharging and hybridization.

Unveiled in 2021, the 812 Competizione represented the latest in Ferrari’s lineage of front-engined V-12 special series models, succeeding the 599 GTO and F12tdf as the ultimate expression of the platform. Developed with a singular focus on performance, the Competizione applied lessons learned from Ferrari’s GT racing and track-development programs to create a more focused, responsive, and capable machine while retaining the character of the naturally aspirated V-12. Production was reportedly capped at 999 examples and offered exclusively by invitation to Ferrari’s most loyal clientele.

Compared to the standard 812 Superfast, the Competizione benefited from extensive aerodynamic, chassis, and mechanical revisions. Virtually every exterior surface was redesigned to improve airflow and increase downforce. A carbon fiber front splitter, enlarged rear diffuser, underbody vortex generators, and a distinctive aluminum rear screen improved aerodynamic efficiency and high-speed stability. Weight-saving measures, including greater use of carbon fiber and lightweight materials throughout the body and interior, further enhanced the car’s dynamic capabilities.

At the heart of the Competizione was Ferrari’s celebrated 6.5-liter V-12, now extensively reworked to develop 819 hp at 9,250 rpm, an increase of 30 hp over the standard model, and 510 lbs./ft. of torque at 7,000 rpm. Featuring titanium connecting rods, redesigned pistons, revised valve timing, and numerous friction-reduction measures, the engine was capable of a remarkable 9,500 rpm redline, making it the most powerful, naturally aspirated, road-going Ferrari engine ever produced at the time of its introduction.

Complementing the enhanced powerplant was a recalibrated seven-speed, dual-clutch transaxle with faster shift times, along with revised suspension settings, Ferrari’s latest electronic chassis-control systems, and the debut of Virtual Short Wheelbase 3.0 (Passo Corto Virtuale), an advanced rear-wheel steering system. This technology endowed the Competizione with exceptional agility and turn-in response, while maintaining high-speed stability.

Performance was remarkable, with Ferrari claiming a 0–62 mph time of 2.85 seconds, 0–124 mph in 7.5 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 211 mph. More significantly, the 812 Competizione represented one of the final and most highly developed expressions of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V-12 philosophy. Reviewing the model in November 2021, Road & Track hailed it as “one of the all-time greatest V-12 cars,” adding, “Let’s just hope that most of them will spend plenty of time screaming to redline and delighting everyone within earshot. It’d be a shame to let all those revs go to waste.”

Purchased new in January 2024 by its current collector-owner from Ferrari of Washington, this 2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione is finished in Extra Campionario Bianco Italia (Extra Range Italy White) with a Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) metallic and Nero Daytona (Daytona Black) central stripe. The highly individualized specification was enhanced by $157,099 in factory options, including carbon fiber wheels, Rosso Scuderia (Scuderia Red) brake calipers, adaptive headlights, front-axle lift, front and rear parking cameras, a high-power hi-fi system, Apple CarPlay, passenger display, Scuderia Ferrari shields, and extensive carbon fiber appointments throughout the exterior and cabin.

Inside, the Pelle Rosso (Red Leather) interior is complemented by Nero Alcantara (Black Alcantara) accents and carpeting, large-size Daytona racing seats with lifter, a yellow rev counter, red dashboard air-vent grips, contrasting Nero stitching, Cavallino-embroidered headrests, and numerous other personalization details that underscore the car’s bespoke character.

Showing less than 200 miles at the time of cataloguing, this highly optioned 812 Competizione remains in virtually as-delivered condition and has formed part of a significant private collection since new. Despite its limited use, the car received its annual service at Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro, North Carolina, in May 2026.

Accompanying the Ferrari are its owner’s books, window sticker, battery tender, car cover, service records, and original Ferrari Yellow Book Attestation for Special Series Vehicles documenting its factory specification, personalization details, and matching engine and gearbox numbers.
